Who I Am

Hi, I’m Renee - artist, endurance athlete, and mom. I am building a space for those three things to coexist and thrive. My goal is to empower the next generation through movement, creativity, and sustainability.

I have always been involved in sports: soccer, basketball, track and cross country, and CrossFit. My love of endurance sports started when I became a division one collegiate rower for the University of Washington. After stepping away from competition to heal my body, have my baby, and heal my body again, I found myself being drawn back to them - this time on my own terms. Now i’m training for things like an epic multi-sport 7 discipline race, ultra gravel races, ultramarathons, and Ironmans. All of this while raising my daughter and making art.

My art is inspired by my passions and goals, but mostly by the journey to get there. It doesn’t always look “pretty” and there are many mistakes to be made along the way, thats life and thats art. I love creating and I want my art to contribute to the bigger picture of inspiring young women and girls to create and compete.

My dream? Well, I have lots of personal ones such as competing in Kona one day, completing a 100 mile race, and finishing Unbound Gravels 350 bike race. But my most important one is to show women - especially moms - that chasing hard things is always worth it.

I am currently making jewelry and paintings by hand, taking care of my 4 month old daughter, and documenting my training journey.

Thanks for being here!
